1. Introduction

Welcome to Frera Safaris (U) LTD. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services for booking safari tours, wellness tourism experiences, and related travel services in Uganda.

By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Frera Safaris (U) LTD is committed to providing sustainable, responsible tourism experiences while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients.

2. Bookings & Payments

2.1 Booking Process

All bookings must be made through our official website or authorized representatives. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment and confirmation email.

2.2 Payment Terms

  • A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
  • Full payment must be received 30 days before tour departure
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or mobile money
  • All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified
  • Prices are subject to change until booking is confirmed

2.3 Pricing

Our prices include accommodation, meals, transportation, park fees, and guided tours as specified in your itinerary. Airfare, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included unless specifically stated.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Cancellation by Client

  • More than 30 days before departure: 10% cancellation fee
  • 15-30 days before departure: 25% cancellation fee
  • 7-14 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee

3.2 Cancellation by Frera Safaris

In rare circumstances where we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, political instability, health concerns), we will:

  • Provide full refund of all payments
  • Offer alternative dates or tours
  • Cover reasonable additional costs incurred

3.3 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

4. Responsibilities

4.1 Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information when booking
  • Ensure all travelers have valid passports and visas
  • Comply with local laws and regulations
  • Respect wildlife, local communities, and the environment
  • Follow guide instructions for safety
  • Inform us of any medical conditions or special needs

4.2 Frera Safaris Responsibilities

  • Provide services as described in the itinerary
  • Ensure guides are qualified and experienced
  • Maintain safe transportation and accommodation
  • Respond promptly to client concerns
  • Support sustainable tourism practices

5. Liability & Limitations

Frera Safaris (U) LTD acts as an agent for various service providers including hotels, transport companies, and activity operators. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure quality service, we cannot be held liable for:

  • Acts of nature, weather conditions, or force majeure
  • Changes in government regulations or park policies
  • Delays or disruptions caused by third parties
  • Personal injury or loss of property during activities
  • Medical emergencies or pre-existing health conditions

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the services. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

6. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all our tours. We require proof of adequate coverage before departure. Insurance should cover:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical emergencies and evacuation
  • Personal accident and liability
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • COVID-19 related expenses (if applicable)

We can recommend insurance providers, but the purchase and coverage is the client's responsibility.

7. Health & Safety

7.1 Health Requirements

  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate for Uganda entry
  • Malaria prophylaxis as recommended by health authorities
  • Up-to-date routine vaccinations
  • Travel health insurance with medical evacuation coverage

7.2 Safety Measures

  • All guides are trained in first aid and emergency procedures
  • Vehicles are maintained to safety standards
  • Emergency communication equipment is carried
  • 24/7 support is available during tours
  • COVID-19 safety protocols are followed

7.3 Wildlife Safety

Safari activities involve inherent risks. Clients must follow all safety instructions provided by guides. Children under 6 years may not participate in certain activities.
